IMPORTANT NOTICE – The NGAT Office will be closed from Wed, Mar 20, 2024 thru Mon, Mar 25, 2024 to conduct our 65th Annual NGAT Conference in Round Rock, Texas.  If you need assistance please call our office at 512-454-7300 and leave a message. We will be checking our messages on a regular basis.  Online registration for the NGAT Conference is now closed.  If you would like to attend the conference please send a email to tbz@ngat.org and let us know what you are trying to sign up for.  WE HAVE EXTREMELY LIMITED MEALS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. So please inquire before assuming meals will be available on site. If you are wanting to attend the conference meetings and visit the trade show we have plenty of onsite registration for that available when you arrive.

The National Guard Association of Texas regrets to inform you of the passing of CSM (Ret) Donald Wayne Bunnell of San Angelo, TX, on March 21, 2024.

In service to his country, CSM Bunnell proudly served in the Texas Army National Guard for 38 years and retired with the rank of Brigade Command Sergeant Major. In addition to his military service, he embarked on a successful career spanning 43 years with General Mills.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. A celebration of Donald's life will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Sierra Vista UMC in San Angelo. Burial to follow at Grape Creek Cemetery.

The National Guard Association of Texas (NGAT) was founded in 1959 on the principle that it is important to have an organization speak out for the Texas National Guard and its members. Today, NGAT is a non-profit veterans organization of over 35,000 current, former, and retired Texas Military Forces members organized for the following purposes:

To promote and support adequate national security.

To foster and improve the Texas National Guard and the National Guard of the United States as a component of the Armed Forces of the United States.

To preserve and perpetuate the history and tradition of the Texas Military Forces.
