Members of the Texas Army National Guard and Texas State Guard are conducting riverine operations along the Rio Grande, increasing their presence to help deter transnational criminal activity and strengthen security for Texas communities.
Riverine operations involve military combat, security and patrol activities conducted on inland waterways such as rivers, swamps and canals. These missions allow Guard members to operate in areas where traditional ground patrols may be limited.
Their continued service reflects the commitment of Texas Guardsmen to protect and support the people of our state.

🎓 2027 NGAT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
The National Guard Association of Texas Educational Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2027 scholarship cycle.
Because the 2027 NGAT Annual Conference is earlier than in previous years, the scholarship application and selection timeline has also moved up.

Low cost Group Level Term Life Insurance for current and former members of the Texas National Guard and Texas State Guard between the ages of 18-75 are eligible to apply with coverage continuing through age 121.
