Chief Braeutigam was a professional soldier who was truly concerned for the well-being of his fellow soldiers. It was a privilege and honor to serve with him. My sincere condolences to the Braeutigam family. Rest in peace, Chief.

Deepest sympathies are extended to his family and friends at this time of great sadness.

BG (Ret) Hugh Hall

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of BG (Ret) Hugh Hall on January 9, 2025, a distinguished leader and former superintendent of the Texas National Guard MATES facility in Gatesville, Texas and father to MG (Ret) William "Bill" Hall.

General Hall's legacy is one of dedicated service, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the mission of the Texas Army National Guard. Throughout his career, he exemplified the values of integrity, courage, and selfless service, inspiring countless individuals who served alongside him. He was a NGAT Life Member and was inducted into the Texas Military Forces Hall of Honor for his many accomplishments.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fellow service members who mourn his loss.

A Senior leader that absolutely understood the linkage between a unit’s maintenance program and its readiness. He ALWAYS took the time to mentor junior officers and NCOs. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the Hall family. Rest in peace, soldier.

Served in 111th Avn Gp when he first entered the guard. A truly great soldier, individual, and friend. Condolences to Bill and family. He has gone to be with your mother!

Our condolences to the Hall family.

One of the finest soldiers I had the privilege to serve with, I was always impressed with how he was so approachable, genuinely interested in what his people were concerned with. A true leader and comrade. This news brings tears to my eyes and heartbreak. Rest in Peace sir.

Great leader and man of honor. I'm honored to serve under him during my time with the 372nd FSB in the early 90's. My prayers are with MG (Ret.) Hall and family.

He was a true family man to his units and his loved ones. My heart is broken for the Hall family.

Sad to learn of this. A great role model for many of us. Praying for him and his family.

Our most sincere condolences are offered to his family and his friends. Good memories. RIP.

Group Term Insurance

This is a low-cost group term life insurance policy which provides coverage on the member, their spouse, and their dependent children. Starting at $3.66 a month for $10,000 policy.

 

Free $10,000 Life Insurance

NGAT is proud to offer you a benefit of a $10,000 life insurance policy. This policy is offered to new enlistees of the Texas National Guard. Enrollment needs to be completed within 90 days of your enlistment to take advantage of this offer.

All currently serving members of the Texas Army and Air National Guard are automatically covered with a FREE $1,000 NGAT Life Insurance policy.

 

Fed Protect

Low cost Group Level Term Life Insurance for current and former members of the Texas National Guard and Texas State Guard between the ages of 18-75 are eligible to apply with coverage continuing through age 121.
